Concrete Garden statues are a great way to add some personal charm and a beautiful look to your yard. Plus, concrete is a durable, inexpensive material that works well outside. There are all kinds of subjects and styles on the market, and statues of just about every size. That means that it’ll be easy to find the concrete garden statues that are right for you and your home. However, a few styles are definitely more popular than others. That means they’ll be easier to find and have greater appeal. Let’s take a look at the top three categories of garden statuary on the market. Animals Animals are a popular subject for concrete garden statues. They come in all kinds of styles, too, from traditional carving to cartoony looks, to Japanese and other Asian styles. There are animal statues out there to suit any taste. Squirrels, rabbits, and other small North American and European mammals are popular, but they’re not the only option. You can also find monkeys, fish (koi are popular) birds, lions, and many others. There tends to be an emphasis on the cute, rather than the majestic, in garden statues, but some less cute animals are also available. If you can’t find the one you want, think about talking to a local sculptor. If you have your concrete garden statues custom made, you can have any animal you want, from a cat to a capybara. Human Figures Another popular category includes the human figure. This is a very broad category, encompassing everything from religious statues of saints and the Buddha to cute cherubs and garden gnomes. You can find beautiful mother and child statues, as well as concrete renderings of famous artworks, for a truly elegant look. There are also cuter and more playful garden statues out there that create a fun atmosphere. Angels and fairies are also a popular choice for gardens. The choice is up to you. Concrete garden statues of people come in all sizes, but most are on the smaller side. Lanterns And Architecture You can also find concrete garden statues made to look like architectural features. Some of them even serve as lanterns. Just place a candle lantern or other light source inside, and use your statuary to provide light for an outdoor party. Most of these designs are inspired by real architectural forms in Asia, and will have a Japanese, Korean, or Chinese feel to them. However, there are some architectural concrete garden statues that use Western or other cultures’ buildings as inspiration as well. These are a little harder to find than people or animals, but are still an excellent choice.

Neian, both name for the country and the world, it was created by a giant dove called Amnos, the god-like being of Neian, who can also shape-shift into a golden lion, a black bull and a brown eagle. The time in Neian is both different and the same in earth’s time period; it had many doorways from Earth’s numerous time periods, for example a Roman who visits there might meet a New Yorker. Amnos was said to be born from a thornless rose. After Neian’s creation, he brought with him many mistreated animals from earth’s zoos and circuses. It was then when 6 humans came into the world, one of them (a child) wished she could understand the language they speak in, and so the animals were given human speech but did know learned it right away, it took years for them to use their vocal cords and pronouncing words.

But there was also other inhabitants of Neian, there were the Gods and Goddesses from earth; Helios, Selene, Jove, Hercules, Pan, Mother Earth, Father Time, Morpheus, Diana, Grandfather Frost and Flora. Amnos also awakened the spirits of nature who appeared in shapes of mythological creatures; nymphs, satyrs, fauns, griffins, mermaids, giants, dwarfs, firebirds, jinns, dragons, golden deer and unicorns. Neian had only one real villain from the moment of its birth, a tall humanoid sorceress called the Golden Queen, or Hamartia; a beautiful princess reagent of a world bridged to Neian, and made from concrete, metal and gold. She was immortal, cruel, narcissistic, golden-haired, unstable and hated/envied young children for their youthful beauty and ‘stupidity’. She was in truth the anthropomorphic personification of sin. She had 100 siblings but one half-sibling that was her equal, Thanatus, a tall, handsome but sadistic and headstrong incarnation of death.

Hamartia owned a Garden called Delightful, with a prized golden apple tree with magical properties; any who can claim the tree would give its owner one wish. Her wish was that anyone who stole her precious apples would turn to golden statues and be melted to build more towers in her jeweled, metallic castle. It was in her world that many children from earth were taken and turned into gold statues. such children were mostly from Hamelin and Children’s Crusade, well-known ones are the last Prince Louis of France before the Revolution and Grand Duchess Anastasia from Russia. The Golden Witch’s world was destroyed by six human travelers from the 1890s; 2 adults, 3 adolescents and 1 child. One teenager was both blind and deaf, he and the two adults became the first royal family of Neian and the first people were the missing children.

I understand that it sounds a bit like Narnia but I was inspired by the Chronicles. I wanted to do the same as Lewis but I’d make it less preachy and more like a story. I am not plagiarizing, this is my story and I can make it different. Its my mythology, my fairy tale. And I don’t care if this harms my ‘reputation’ that’s an outdated word to me. All I care is writing this story no matter what.

In 1890, three siblings are taken in by a schoolteacher and her deaf-blind nephew from the Orphan Train that rescued them from the city and neglectful parents. Then they were imprisoned by an occult musician who is trying to play the rightful tune of an ancient music note written by the legendary Pied Piper of Hamelin. They suddenly find themselves in another world of concrete and gold ruled by a tall, beautiful young witch princess and her clan. They escaped from the clutches of her devious plans (to turn them to gold statues using her Golden Apple Tree from her Garden of Delights) except the musician. They gang soon find missing children from the real world (Children’s Crusade, Prince Louis of the Revolution in France and Princess Anastasia) and found themselves in a world giving birth to nature and showed many visions of the earth’s past and future. Then came a giant Dove born from thornless rose and leading an army of mistreated zoo/circus animals who were blessed with human speech. Then came along the Old Gods Diana, Pan, Jove, Hercules, Father Time and Mother Earth. The prepare a battle between the warrior children and animals against the Witch’s rabble of Familiars (demonic animals of different colors) while the youngest sibling goes back to the witch’s kingdom to release the musician and claim the golden tree. Among the Kingdom’s army of minotaurs, werewolves, harpies and ogres, the Dove king awaken nymphs, satyrs, griffins and dwarfs to attack and destroy the city. The boy claimed the apple tree (according to legend the golden apples would grant wishes to its owner and transform thieves into statues) but was tricked into giving an apple to a cloaked tall man. The Witch was defeated by the Dove King, while changing into a golden lion, a black bull and a brown eagle. The redeemed musician and the schoolteacher were married, adopted their nephew as heir and became the first rulers of the new world, called Neian. The three siblings were sent back to the real world, but promised to returned.

The city was destroyed but the golden apple tree was spared and claimed by Jeffrey. An elderly cloaked figure passing on as human begged for bite from the apple, which made him stronger and disappeared to the west. The witch was not killed but disappeared from existence (she was truly an anthropomorphic personification of sin).

The Dove King then built a castle near the headland of the new world, which was called Neian. How to make a giant concrete statue?

I want to build a giant (3-4ft high x 4-5ft long) statue of a fist out of concrete. Every website I’ve been to shows how to build small garden statues that are usually hollow, or at most no bigger than a 5 gallon bucket. I consider myself an expert with concrete/mortar when it comes to it’s basic functions, but nothing on this grandiose of a scale. money isn’t an issue, but we’re determined to do it ourselves and not hire anyone.

I’m looking to buy 2 concrete horse head statues to decorate my garden with. Anyone know where to get these? Either online, or somewhere in Arizona? I’m not looking for a one of a kind masterpiece or anything, just a generic horse head.
Thanks.
